Regular Season Round 8: La Cancha - San Sebastian 70-80

Very significant was San Sebastian's (#5) 80-70 road victory against 6th ranked La Cancha. The winners were led by guard Derekjeter Mejia (182-2001) who scored that evening 16 points and 4 assists and Luiyi Rojas supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points by American Paul Harrison (206-1989, college: NGU) did not help to save the game for La Cancha. Alberto Sanchez added 15 points for the hosts. Four San Sebastian and five La Cancha players scored in double figures. San Sebastian maintains fifth position with 3-1 record. La Cancha at the other side keeps the sixth place with two games lost. San Sebastian will play against league's leader Immortals in Santiago in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. La Cancha's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Moca to the arena Don Bosco.
